Made In Britain - Textual Analysis

Mise en Scene
The mise en scene in this trailer is very 1980's, with the main characters wearing trench coats. These are iconic of the time and the fashion. Social realism films are known for having mise en scene which can be related to easily by the audience. Made in Britain uses the 1980's look which at the time the film was released could be related to by the audience. The accent of Tim Roth and his look can also be related to as he is bald or a 'skinhead', these characters are deemed as hooligans. The colour scheme is grey and dark, which is key in this film as it reflects the mood of the film, harsh and dark.

Camera Work
This film uses close ups and mid shots of the main character to show the emotion on their face. Shots of the protagonists face making gestures and with him taking up the majority of the frame show his power in the film. Very few long shots were used in the trailer as in social realism emotion is key to catch the attention of the audience.
